CANTERAS La Ponderosa, S.A. completes an important work to minimise the effects of mining on the environment:
The restored areas reduce the visual impact on the ecosystem, planting pine and herbaceous species.

Dust emissions are lowered using spray in order to reduce the environmental impact.
The corrective measures include spray irrigation of the quarry at various production points, as well as the subsequent storage of the finished product in silos.

The heavy vehicle roads, as well as the areas of operation of the machinery, are constantly irrigated using water tanks.
The undersides of all lorries exiting the quarry are washed automatically. The traffic areas are regularly swept clean.
